Pastor Isaac’s List of Jesus’s Teachings
As one might expect, the call to live as Jesus did comes up often in church, Bible study, and the daily life of a Christian. While that may be a broad call to action, it is far from vague.
Faith has many components. Everyone is strong in some and weak in others. When we hear the call to “live as Jesus did,” God is asking us to think critically about our thoughts and actions and to take steps to improve in specific areas where we’re falling short. While none of us can achieve perfection, we can still grow closer to God by opening our hearts to growth and letting Him shape us.
Here is my list outlining everything Jesus calls us to do. This isn’t a checklist; faith isn’t about ticking boxes. Still, if you are committed to walking with Jesus, you should make an effort to take each step. Doing so will help you feel God’s presence, shine His light into the world, and allow Him to shape you into the person you are meant to be.
I encourage you to save this list somewhere. Come back to it whenever your faith feels stagnant, when you feel lost, or when someone reminds you to live as Jesus did. Pray over it and see where God is leading you next.
