Updated September, 2021 to reflect BC Provincial Health Guidelines – Stage 3
Community of Hope Church has resumed indoor worship as of Sunday, September 12th at 10am. We are very excited to come back together inside and to start a new series, Comeback, where we take a fresh look at the life of Jesus. This is to clarify what is happening with masks and restrictions at Community of Hope this fall.

Indoor Worship
Even though many ‘public’ settings require masks, worship services are EXEMPT from both the mask mandate and vaccine passport. This is because churches have not been a source of transmission in the province over the past number of months. You can find the official letter exempting worship services from the mask mandate and the vaccine passport here. The province is still recommending masks for those 12 and up who are not vaccinated.

Since the start of the pandemic our goal at CoH has been to take a balanced approach by meeting provincial requirements, but allow people to make their own choices about going beyond the requirements. We think this is the best way to promote unity and honor both those who prefer more caution and those who prefer less restrictions.

In the interest of unity and the continued advance of the gospel among us, we will move forward into the fall with the following guidelines in place.

  • We will not require masks in our worship time
  • We will spread out chairs, have sanitizer present and encouraged, and perform routine sanitization as we did before
  • Kids’ Church leaders will mask when inside with the kids (some of their program will be outside in the playground area. we will not require masks outside).
  • We will not require masks for kids in Kids’ Church
  • Please respect others’ comfort level in terms of personal distance, hand-shaking, etc.
  • Please do not attend if you have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who is positive for COVID-19.
Online Options

Please continue to pray for our church, and all believers, as we navigate the pandemic and the realities of life today. The world needs the Gospel more than ever.
