Community Groups meet weekly in a home setting, and are a way for the church to work more personally in your life. If you consider the entire church as a big extended family, your Community Group is like your immediate family for the year. It is here where we really share, pray, learn, connect, and encourage one another.
What happens at the weekly meetings? We start with a simple pot-luck meal together, relaxing around the table and catching up on each other’s week. The remaining time is spent in any number of ways, including worship, prayer, sermon discussion, listening to and caring for one another, learning new things that the Bible teaches, planning events, serving together, having fun times, and celebrating Holy Communion. Regardless of what we do, we make it a priority for each person to feel welcome and blessed because they came. We hope that as a result of being in a Community Group, each member will grow a little closer to God during the year.
This year’s group meetings began in September 2016. There is still time to join a group.
Community Groups are open to church members and regular attenders. For further information about Community Groups or to join one, please contact Pastor Philip. If you are unable to join a Community Group, you may want to join an independent Growth Group instead.
